With enhancements to the PTS system we now have more reporting features and are now able to hand over control of commission statement generation to our members. This gives you more access to financial information on your bookings and control over your commission reporting and the ability to generate your own statement.
Any member needing support or training with any aspect of generating their commission statement should raise a support ticket and a member of the team will be able to assist.
Here are the current fees and costs associated in making, processing, and protecting bookings with PTS.

Supplier is not listed, you can request PTS to obtain approval for the airline or supplier to be paid in advance of travel by contacting MTG admin.
Package Travel Regulation Compliance (PTRC)
This insurance is provided to PTS members to ensure that they meet the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements 2018 and ensures that in the event of the insolvency of the organiser, we cover the costs of repatriating the Consumer who has purchased the relevant package and, if necessary, financing the Consumer’s accommodation prior to the repatriation.
The insurance will cover all consumer bookings placed onto the PTS system by the PTS member and where funds have been paid into the Trust Account.
INSURANCE COVER
On the insurance cover, subject to the other terms, conditions and exclusions of the Policy, it is for the avoidance of any doubt agreed that:
SAFI: In consideration of payment by you of the Premium due to Us, We will indemnify You, unless otherwise stated, up to the ticket price paid or the maximum sum insured whichever is less, total for each Consumer (s) in respect of:
being no other bond or other insurance provided for Your benefit that responds to such a claim or is insufficient to meet a valid claim.
SFI: In consideration of payment by You of the Premium due to Us, We will indemnify You, unless otherwise stated, up to the holiday price paid or the maximum sum insured whichever is less, in total for each Consumer(s) in respect of:
In respect of all Cover Options:
a) No sums shall be paid to you unless the original consumer payment has been paid into the Trust Account.
b) No sums shall be paid to You under Your Policy if such sums may be recovered from a third party by any other legal means including any bond, trust account, insurance or
c) In the event of one or more Third-Party Providers becoming Insolvent, all efforts should be made by You to replace the element with one of a similar or equivalent standard so that the Consumer(s) can proceed with their trip. Replacement cost must be obtained at the cheapest alternative available. You are under a duty to act as a prudent uninsured and should always look at the equivalent class of flight and at the cheapest option available; should this be more expensive than the original flight price You will be covered as long as the cost does not exceed the costs to the relevant Consumer(s) of the Travel Arrangements so booked for the Consumer(s). If the only option is for a same class flight from a different airport, then the cost of transporting the Consumer will be taken into consideration along with the flight cost but this total cost claimed must not exceed the original holiday price for the Consumer(s). Therefore, in respect of the replacement of the component supplied by the Insolvent company this cannot exceed 100% of the original cost of the holiday price per
d) For the avoidance of any doubt, if under this Policy We agree to pay You sums by way of replacement or repatriation costs or any other sum by way of cost under any of the cover options. We shall only pay such sums up to the amounts stated/the sums insured or up to the cost of the Travel Arrangements so booked for a relevant Consumer, whichever is the lower
An alternative method of payment for clients is to pay by bank transfer directly into the PTS Trust Account. This is safe, secure, and funds are allocated directly to the client’s PTS file.
These details can also be used if the client wishes to set up a standing order or make interim payments.
THE PTS FILE NUMBER MUST BE QUOTED AS THE PAYMENT REFERENCE!

Notes:
If you have any issues uploading them, please email admin@merlintravelgroup.co.uk and explain you had an issue. We will upload it then.
On both tabs select the ‘include’ option under the title of the element you would like to use. This will activate the content area for those element types.
Note: If you accidentally choose ‘Flights’ and/or ‘Alt Transport’ options, you will need to refresh the page and start again since tapping either of these ‘include’ buttons will open a reference option on the following pages which can not be closed without refreshing.
On the confirmation tab, you can also select an appropriate title for your form based on what you are selling. The default is ‘Holiday Package’
Make sure that the data you enter into each field has been accepted and isn’t still blank before moving onto the next. Thinking you have filled something in that hasn’t been accepted means you will have to start the form all over again. Check twice, Submit once.
If you select “Flights” or “Alt Transport” elements to include, these open up an option to add a PNR or Transport Reference at the top of the content section. You will need to select which reference you want to supply and add the reference. If this option isn’t completed, the form will not submit.
You can manually type in the date or use the date picker drop down option. You can not change the format the date uses.
(Note: Currently the PDF output displays in USA format. We are working to correct this to a UK formant)
For the gallery you can add up to 3 images. A repeatable option will be coming in future updates.
The full URL must include https:// part at the beginning of the address
Note: Not all websites will allow you to link to their images. For example JET2 do not allow this so do not use their images as you will get an error. Try using generic images from the likes of bookings.com or tripadvisor.com. We also know that images from BedsOnline work fine too. If you are unsure you can always ask technical support to check the images first or simply not include a gallery in your quote. 95% of images will work perfectly fine.
The extra information boxes are useful for providing additional details to your client about any given element, however at this time these boxes do not allow for formating, like pressing enter to create a new line or paragraph. We are working to fix this issue but may take some time as it’s not a default function.
There is however a way you can tell the software that you want to start a new line and that’s to add the code <br> at the end of any given line.
Example:
This is my first line of text <br>
This is my second line of text
This will separate the lines of text placing one below the other. If you want a bigger link gap between the two just type <br><br> and now there will be a gap between the two lines.
Once we have an update on this fix we will let you know.
While you can not add any new elements to a PDF once it has been created, if you spot a spelling mistake or maybe need to adjust a flight time, you can use ADOBE ACROBAT PRO to easily edit the text. This can be a useful tool for example if your customer wants an updated confirmation to show they have paid more towards their balance. Simply open the original PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro, go to the costing sections, and then edit the financial information text, making sure to save as a new PDF.
Font: SEGOE UI Size: Match closest to the element you are editing. Generally speaking 10px
Note: Adobe Acrobat Pro is not free but possibly a good investment if you think you may be making a lot of changes to your forms over time.
